Dr. John Stopher '82 - Protecting National Security Assets

PSSI’s Senior Fellow, Dr. John P. Stopher, spoke at the American Astronautical Society (AAS) online discussion entitled “Protecting National Security Assets and Critical Functions for the Space Enterprise” on September 29, 2020.


Dr. Stopher addressed the role of space systems on our lives – from national security to commercial transactions. He also talked about the emerging threats to the space assets, particularly in the cyber domain, and how the recently signed Space Policy Directive-5 provides an opportunity for companies and the government to collaborate and share knowledge and best practices to boost our security.
